These terms apply to every project Launchday Web ("we", "us") takes on for you ("you", "the client"). Your quote tells you exactly what's included. If your quote and these terms ever disagree, the quote wins.
Our full legal name and address are shown on every quote and invoice. You can reach us at hello@launchdayweb.com or through the live chat on our website.
1. Free consultation and prototype
- The first consultation, by chat or email, is free and you're under no obligation.
- If you'd like one, we'll design a free prototype of your home page with one round of changes.
- The prototype stays ours until you pay the deposit. Please don't use it, or have someone else build from it, unless you go ahead with us.
2. Quotes and what's included
- After the consultation we send a fixed quote listing the pages, features, platform, number of change rounds and expected timeline.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days.
- Anything not in the quote, such as extra pages, features or extra rounds of changes, is quoted separately before we do it. We never add charges without your agreement.
3. Payments
You pay in three parts:
| Stage | Amount | When |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit | 30% | When you approve the prototype. Work on the full site starts once it's received. |
| Pre-launch | 30% | When the full site is ready for your review at the pre-launch consultation. |
| Launch day | 40% | When you sign off the finished site, before it goes live on your domain. |
- Invoices are due within 7 days. You can pay by card (processed securely by Stripe) or by bank transfer.
- Our prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Prices shown in other currencies on our website are estimates; your quote and invoices confirm the amount.
- We're not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices.
- If a payment is more than 14 days late, we may pause work or delay the launch until it's paid.
4. Timelines
- Delivery times count from when you approve the design and send your content.
- They assume you reply with content, feedback and approvals within 2 working days at each stage. If these arrive later, the launch date moves back by the same amount.
- If we don't hear from you for 30 days, we may pause the project. If it stays paused for 60 days, we may close it. Payments already made cover the work done up to that point.
5. Changes and revisions
- Your package includes a set number of change rounds: Starter 1, Business 2, Bookings & Payments 3, unless your quote says otherwise.
- A round is one list of changes sent together. Further rounds or new requests after sign-off are quoted separately.
6. Your content and responsibilities
- You're responsible for the text, photos, logos and other material you give us, and for having the right to use them.
- You're responsible for making sure your website's content is accurate and that your business meets the rules that apply to it (for example, your own privacy notice or industry regulations). We can provide a starting template, but we don't give legal advice.
- Please check the site carefully before signing it off.
7. Domains, hosting and other costs
- Your domain is registered in your name and you pay for it directly, usually about £10–20 a year.
- Costs from other companies, such as hosting, Shopify plans, paid plugins, premium fonts or email accounts, are paid by you directly unless your quote says otherwise.
- We'll tell you about any of these costs before you commit.
8. Who owns the website
- Once you've paid in full, you own the design, text and images we created for your site, and you can move it wherever you like.
- Some building blocks we reuse across projects, such as the Launchday Admin and our code components, stay ours. You get a permanent licence to use them for your website.
- Third-party items (fonts, stock photos, plugins, platforms) are covered by their own licences.
- We may show your website in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
9. After launch
- For 30 days after launch, we'll fix any bugs free of charge. A bug is something that doesn't work as agreed in your quote.
- This doesn't cover new features, changes you or others make to the site, or problems caused by third-party services.
- Ongoing help is available through Website Care, paid monthly. You can cancel Website Care at any time and it ends at the end of the month you've paid for.
10. Cancelling a project
- You can cancel at any time by telling us in writing. You pay for work done up to that point; payments already made aren't refunded for work that's been completed.
- If we cancel a project for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund any money paid for work we haven't done.
- If you're a consumer (buying for yourself, not for a business), you have 14 days to cancel after agreeing to the quote. If you ask us to start work within those 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the work done up to that point. These terms don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
11. Liability
- We'll carry out the work with reasonable care and skill.
- We're not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business, or for problems caused by third-party services (for example hosting, domain or payment providers).
- Our total liability for a project is limited to the amount you've paid us for it.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Confidentiality
We keep the information you share with us private and only use it to deliver your project. See our privacy notice for how we handle personal data.
13. General
- We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your project is the one in place when you accept your quote.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
